Transfers
In dental surgery, the metal prosthetic components used at the stage of impression taking are referred to as the impression transfers. They are meant for:

secure retention of implants (their analogues) and abutments in the cast model;

 more precise and individual treatment of construction of the dental prostheses in laboratory conditions.

It is possible to take an impression with the installation of a transfer only from the implant or abutment. In the Dental Prosthetics Technology, it is important that a transfer would remain in the extracted cast model after taking an impression. However, the variants when a transfer is put in the finished cast model after taking an impression are possible.
